  • About Blog Hosts and Blogging Essentials

    The nature of a blog

    Blog, which is an abbreviation for the term, weblog, is a piece of Internet technology which provides individuals with in a number of different forms; including text, video, audio (podcasts) and photos. The activity of blogging has grown tremendously over the past decade to include users (bloggers) from all over the world, many of whom utilize it to publish and update posts, crop up entries of personalized life snippets that are mundane or bizarre in nature. For most bloggers, however, a blog is personal, unedited and authentic in nature; a journal meant to be shared in an online community.

    Blogsites are locations on the Web where bloggers can publish anything; from their thoughts, feelings and photos, to special events, experiences and comments on issues, in addition to many other types of content. A blogsite in its truest form is similar to an online diary to which entries are made in a variety of content types that might encompass videos, links, documents, newsletters and opinions on just about any topic the reader might have interest in.

    Personal blogs are created and intended to welcome the insights, opinions and comments of all comers, and therefore should not be written in a way that could be thought of as intimidating, or in a way that readers might consider as too formal in context; because such a blog can turn off readers and cause them to turn away and never return. The basic blog should be conversational in tone and context, a format which would be more appropriate to reach desired audiences.

    Blog functions and advantages

    Blogging can reasonably be described as being all about individuals reaching out to other individuals, and as such, blogs have their own sets of advantages, some of which might include the following:

    1. Freedom of expression – If you want people to hear you out and give their own opinions, blogging is one of the best ways to create a line of communication;
    2. Networking at its best – Having a blog is a good platform for exchanging genuine ideas from your readers to you as marketer of certain products. Sound opinions and points of view are often better than simply showing the price quote;
    3. Excellent advertising platform – Blogging as a way to advertise products, is a refreshing change from the traditional advertising outlets, and it is cost-effective;
    4. Gauging public opinion on products and services – The key to this particular activity is nice, catchy titles with new ideas presented in your content. This will assure you of quick and repeated responses from your readers. Blogs are excellent locations for the exchange of ideas between sellers and consumers; and they’re good for measuring public opinion regarding products and services, and can even be effective in the political arena;
    5. Useful tool for internal communication – Blogging can help your company build a knowledge-based community of employees, as it is also good for harnessing employee relations and identifying human resource issues in advance;
    6. Other benefits like search engine optimization (SEO) will help your blog to be seen often by as many people as you wish. This is therefore very good exposure for your products and services.

    Choosing a blog host

    Many blog hosting services are available on the Internet, but perhaps the most important question in this regard pertains to choosing from the many Web hosting services to find one that will best suit your purposes when starting your business blog program. Business people are usually clueless to recent technological innovations which could help them maximize their marketing potentials. For blogging beginners, it is best to first study the services offered by blog hosts, because an ineffective business blogging program may damage marketing opportunities instead of enriching them.

    A company might decide to do the following depending on its capacity and needs: 1) Host their own blog service, 2) Pay someone else to host the service, or 3) Setup a “blog aggregator page” and ask the employees to select their blog hosting services individually. There are paid and free services available for individuals. Business blogs are required to have ; if not, this will prevent them from maximizing their marketing, public relations and SEO potential.

    Basic blogging essentials

    COMMENTS. Welcoming comments provides the opportunity for dialogue; and for business blogs this is a good customer feedback mechanism. This helps based on loyalty and trust. So blogging is an innovative way to converse with your customers.

    TRACKBACK. This helps to maximize company and product exposure in the sense that, your consumers can get back to you for more posts and updates without the difficulty of locating you all over again. If your blog is popular in a specific online community, chances are that links going back to your blog site are everywhere online, other blog sites or even websites.

    CATEGORIES AND TAGS. These are helpful, both in classifying blog searches for ease of navigation, as well as on site searches. Categories act as libraries because they classify posts by subject matter which might include business, distance learning, eCommerce, online auctions and much more. Tags, help in classification, especially in the blog search engine Technorati. Possible customers and new clients locate blogs about certain topics of interest by just clicking the tags.

    RSS FEED. Really Simple Syndication is the feed from your blog that is sent out over the internet, and collected through the various newsreaders and aggregators.

    In order for your company to establish a business blogging program, considerable options should be made available by the hosting companies with the most compatible services. Free blog hosting services are popular but they are more appropriate for individual online journals. Paid blog hosting services offer unlimited packages which may be best for your company’s needs. You may want to take a look at some blogs that already use a particular host first, by simply reading and closely examining their layout and design. Another important thing to consider is whether or not the hos provides reliable technical support.

    The blog: A reflection of the blogger

    After choosing the blog host a team should be ready to plan the in which case the team should:

    • create a style that meets the needs of your audience;
    • establish an open, credible tone;
    • schedule weekly updating of blog – ideally, a few times a week;
    • include weblinks of other website and blogs;
    • blog post should be in the “first person;”
    • focus on the business blog objective;and,
    • maintain an honest, engaging conversational quality.

    Remember, the look, style and content found on your blog is always a reflection of you and your company. Apart from the chat rooms, instant messengers and electronic mails created for communication and dialogue beyond the traditional methods of communication, blogs have emerged as the most innovative and convenient methods used by regular folks to build opportunities for interaction. The need for personalized and human elements of building online communities have changed the technological landscape of Internet life.

  • Blogging: A Money-Making Web Marketing Tool

    From mere comments to profits!

    Blogging has come a long way since the late nineteen-nineties when it was seen as a way to merely comment on existing webpages, or an opportunity for visitors and readers to interact with each other and voice their opinions about various types of content. The amazing thing is, what started as a single-sentence commentary has evolved into pages of personal views on just about any topic imaginable; and as it stands today – March, 2016 – and continues into the future, blogging has increased its by attracting an increased share of online advertising.

    So if you are already a blogger who have spent, and still spend, a fair amount of time blogging, you could simply by asking for it, as long as you had previously laid the groundwork for this eventuality. In other words, if you’ve already established a blog for which there is a regular readership (following), the expectation that a portion – if not the majority – of this following can be transformed into a customer base for any products/services you recommend is certainly reasonable. Therefore you would have an easier time turning a profit by hosting sponsored links or banners on your blog, thereby deriving an income from this activity practically overnight.

    But even if you did not start your blog with the intentions of turning a profit, the ability to may be easier than you think. Keep in mind, however, that there is still a lot of time, work and effort involved in the monetization process; but the question any serious-minded blogger must address is, if s/he is already putting in the appropriate time, work and effort needed to monetize a blog just to maintain it, why not also opt for the monetary reward? And for anyone who is not currently blogging, but might want to embark on a career in blogging, this method of making money on the Web might be just the thing that could start your Web marketing career as will be discussed later.

    Blogging: Simple, authentic, free!

    The simplest and fastest way to express your point of view on the Web is through blogging, because there really no skills required other than the ability to legibly convey your thoughts in a way that others can understand; so in this regard, an average adult who can read, type and click a mouse can start a blog and be good at it. Blogging can be compared to having a virtual piece of paper on which you write your ideas, experiences and new products while hoping that the truth and quality of your articles shine through and entice readers to also try your product. And to think that all you need is a PC and an Internet connection to begin blogging and attracting advertisers.

    In this day and age when advertising saturate our lives, we question the credibility of promoters’ claims, and this is where the authenticity of a blog is not only an asset to its owner, but is seen as a valuable resource to those who read and follow it. And although blogs, in their truest form, allow real people to share their real-life experiences without the distraction of paid advertising, reading a blog about first-hand product use is like talking to an individual about his/her first-hand experience. And after all, don’t most people prefer to buy tried and tested products?

    Blogging is free, and despite the fact that, today, it is considered a marketing tool from which , many blogging platforms like WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr as well as several others, still see it as something to augment current marketing tools and offer it free of charge. This opportunity for a free web space and time is definitely a plus for new businesses that are just starting up, and needless to say, a blogger having the ability to monetize his/her blog pages without incurring an expense for the space and time in which the blog is accessible, can generate a generous income for his/her growing blogging business.

    Blogging credibility builds your market

    A prerequisite to establishing a following and is credibility. Your blog’s title, content and availability on the Web (reliability) must be credible; so that as you proceed through the writing of your experiences on a particular product or industry, your readers will come to realize that they can depend on your posts for their own information needs. Therefore, you become an expert in the particular topic of conversation and are seen as such, which results in more readers visiting your blogsite and more bloggers linking to it.

    When companies and professional organizations notice the growth of your readership base, they will soon contact you with offers for advertising on your blog page or make you an affiliate, in which case you’ll be compensated by the affiliate program for every referral to the merchant’s site that was generated from your blogsite. So credibility is that element of blogging which must be maintained at all costs in order to begin the very important task of ; because unless you are a known entity (pro athlete, Hollywood star, politician, etc.) chances are that nobody reads your blog, except maybe your mom and a few friends and family members.

    However, the group of people you know is certainly not big enough from which to build a market, so you’ll need to start looking at a number of different methods that can be effective in your market-building objective and . because without a viable market for the products and service promoted on your blog, you could be destined to the same fate of those who have spent months or even years blogging just to realize that the money they make from advertising adds up to such a negligible sum that it is hardly worth mentioning.

    Blog market-building tips

    Concentrate on those elements (prequisites) mentioned earlier (title, content and reliability), and then make sure that the subject matter is appealing to your target audience, which in turn will enduce advertisers to reach out to you and help you to . With this in mind, we hope you find the tips and methods provided in following paragraphs helpful to your your blog marketing aspirations.

    Start using your email to communicate, if you are not currently doing so; because today’s blogging is overcoming the popularity of emails to quickly and effectively reach and expand a market. And in this age of speed and quick access, logging in and downloading email is simply taking much longer than clicking into a blogsite. So allow them to explore your blog by using a short email message as a teaser to your blog site; and if your email is on an entirely different subject, simply use your email signature to provide them with a link to the site.

    Invite readers to subscribe to your blog or to a newsletter. In order to do this you’ll need an opt-in form through which your your readers can provide their name and email address, two of the items needed for them to authorize you top send them information via email. Giving your readers an opportunity to subscribe to your blogsite, and providing them with exclusive information that is not given to anybody else, will entice them to subscribe by giving their name and email address. Just make sure to be responsible in your use of their information, as the last thing you want is a comment on your blog that you are a spammer.

    Surveys and blogging networks

    Make a serious and ongoing effort to understand your readers. You can start by conducting a simple survey for them to complete, which will provide you with a better understanding of their profiles and advertising preferences. Ask your blog followers and readers to give you feedback on a post, an ad link, or a product trial that you shared. Using this approach is like interviewing your readers without the commitment and intrusion of a face-to-face interview.

    Consider joining a blogging network, which is a collection of blogsites that consist of content about a common industry, common interests, common readership base, common payment mode, and other similarly common characteristics. Most consumers find credibility and convenience in clicking one link to several real bloggers about a single subject. In this regard, than, and more influential, than a single one.

    Ultimately, the only way to find out if you can succeed in blogging by taking advantage of the free software offered by the various platforms, build credibility, create a market and succeed in attracting advertisers to monetize your blog, is to start one; and if you are already blogging, you really have nothing to lose. So give your online presence a boost by effectively using this that could propel you to new heights in the blogosphere.

  • About Bloggers and Affiliate Merchants

    Blogging as an affiliate tool

    If you are new to affiliate marketing and wish , an ideal way to do so is by making contact with merchants who own the products/services (‘products’) and/or affiliate programs in which you are most interested; this way you can save yourself a lot of time, money and heartache, because you will know – first-hand – what is expected of you in relation to those merchants’ products.

    That having been said it should also be pointed out that affiliates who prefer to by which to promote a merchant’s products must be receptive to the idea that the topics they cover in their blogs should meet a number of objectives. In other words, the topics these affiliates blog about should be of interest to a large section of the blogging community, while simultaneously be compatible with the affiliate products they are marketing.

    For example, some of the most pertain to money, various types of loans, debt consolidation, and other financial topics; but also encompass tips and techniques on how to make and manage money. These are just a few examples of popular topics that bloggers explore on the web, so it is no surprise that so many bloggers turn their attention to dealing with debt.

    Gain the merchants’ confidence

    Once you, as a new , decide that you intend to utilize products you should contact the affiliate merchants to let them know what marketing strategy you are using – or will use – to promote their products, even while you ask for their advice as to what they have found to be the most effective strategy for marketing such products.

    Merchants will know their product the best and they will have a good idea of the strategies being employed by other affiliates that have been proven most successful in making sales. In addition, contacting the merchant also shows them that you are dedicated to achieving vocation, which should give them some extra incentive to work more cooperatively with you.

    Keep in mind that once you have stated your intention and disclosed your marketing strategy to these merchants, they might make the extra effort to design (or brand) marketing materials specifically for you, so it is important that you be consistent in your approach, topic and medium. If your topic pertains to debt, about the ease with which consumers fall into debt and the difficulty they have in getting out of it; this way merchants might have more confidence in your marketing approach and expertise.

    Know your blogging topic!

    There’s nothing wrong with creating a positive impression on your affiliate merchants, and contacting them also shows your enthusiasm for marketing their products. Merchants having an also know that over 90% of sales are generated by less than 5% of their affiliates; so good merchants will recognize your efforts and provide you with tools, information and other resources that will help you achieve success.

    If you intend to blog about some of the popular topics mentioned earlier, make sure you have some knowledge about these topic, since you wouldn’t want to blog about loans, debt consolidation, savings, and certain types of investments unless you have a thorough understanding of financial management or consulting. If, on the other hand, you are already familiar with loans, debt consolidation, savings, and types of investments, make sure to use your knowledge toward .

    By sharing expertise you have in a given field, you will certainly be able to help your readers solve any problems they may have in that particular area, while for your time and knowledge. So while popular topics can prove to be very fruitful to blog about, you must be able to write intelligently about them.

    Many of who make a substantial income from their blogs spend a significant amount of their time writing about money; so if you know how to entice and woo advertisers while building a blog fan base, you can also earn a considerable income simply by talking about money; as long as you do proper research on the topic and learn how to write compelling posts about it.

    Dealing directly with merchants

    The more success you have blogging about a particular topic, the more interest you will create in your blog, such that if and when you email a merchant and they don’t respond, you should have no problem getting the attention of other merchants; and you should really refrain from any dealings (partnership?) with a merchant who fails to communicate, since such failure might be indicative of other problems, such as refusal or failure to pay your commission.

    An affiliate marketing partnership is by no means a problem-free arrangement, since it has been shown to involve a number of problems, including but not limited to, poor quality products, poor/non-existent customer service and failure/refusal to pay affiliate commissions. Keep in mind that some merchants also make big promises and set high payout rates knowing full well that very few affiliates will actually meet their objectives. You should avoid working with such merchants.

    Communicating with merchants

    When you communicate with merchants, you should ensure that you use a professional tone; and if you have suggestions on how a merchant can improve his/her offers, you should let them know, because most merchants appreciate feedback, and know that a lot of the feedback they receive can improve their programs.

    Always remember that smart merchants understand the value of good affiliates and will treat you with respect, assist you with resources, and pay your commissions promptly; while smart affiliates understand that merchants want quality promotion and sales performance.

    To get the most out of your partnership, you should always be professional and make an effort to cooperate with your merchant; and try to understand that good merchants are always busy, which might make them seem like they aren’t that good; but be assured that they will answer your questions and emails, even if it takes them a bit more time.

    The longer you work with a merchant, the more you will understand how they do things; but if you are just starting out in affiliate marketing, you have to realize that a merchant can help you understand how things work. So if you listen to the the reputable ones and show initiative, you’ll be well on your way to achieving success as an affiliate marketing blogger.

    With growth in any industry comes added demand, and Web marketing is no different; because as we see more participation in this business, the demand for Web marketing tips, strategies, tools and resources have grown exponentially giving birth to a business within a business: Web Marketing Strategies!

    The business of teaching others how to market products and services on the Web has benefitted from the immense success of entities such as Google, Facebook, and Amazon, just to name a few; but not everybody can be a Larry Paige, Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos, but in trying to emulate them creates a demand.

    Elements of opt-in marketing

    While there are companies and individual entities that are all too eager to help you – for a fee – with website creation, Web-based business building, and clientele development, it is important to keep in mind that there also many cost-free ways in which you can spread the word about your website’s existence on the Web that are direct and as effective as the fee-based methods; and one such cost-free method used by many marketers is Opt-in email marketing (permission marketing).

    Opt-in marketing requires the permission of a willing customer to subscribe to the marketing materials of a Web marketer, with the understanding that such materials would be comprised of suitable and acceptable content in the form of catalogs, newsletters, and promotional mailings via e-mail; and the marketer understands that the more opt-in marketing email s/he can send, the more chances s/he has to make sales. But such an email marketing business can only be done by building a list consisting of all individuals who wants to subscribe to your content and marketing materials.

    Lucrative List Building: How Everyday People Are Building Huge, Highly Profitable Opt-In Email Lists from Scratch to Make Millions Online

    From your list you can expect to get targeted customers who have already shown interest in what you have to offer and sell, since they have willingly signed up to your list. Obviously, these are people who liked what they have seen on your website and have decided they want to see more, and maybe even purchase a few of the products and/or services offered by your company and promoted on your website.

    Building an opt-in list

    There is a perception that list-building is very time consuming and involves a lot of hard work, especially in collecting all the names and addresses of subscribers. However this is not the case when list-building is done correctly, but it does take patience and effective strategies to build a list.

    You can open your website and your business to a whole new world of target marketing; and with some effort on your part, take your business to a new level with increased traffic, more sales and good profits. So if this is the kind of results you want from a Web-based business, you need an opt-in list.

    There are many sources and articles available on the Web for anyone to read and follow in building a list; and while the material may seem confusing because of the vast number and wide variety of of sources, you can avoid the confusing aspects by choosing the one you’re most comfortable with and working with it.

    Lucrative List Building: How Everyday People Are Building Huge, Highly Profitable Opt-In Email Lists from Scratch to Make Millions Online

    Different groups of people would have different approaches in building an opt-in list, but no matter how diverse the many methods are, there are always some crucial steps that must be taken in order to build a list, and the following paragraphs discusses them in more detail.

    Good Web form and impressive homepage

    Installing a good web form on your website that immediately follows the end of your content has been shown to be one of the best ways to attract a visitors attention to your opt-in list; and while there are those who might say that this is too soon to invite a website visitor to subscribe to your list, it is important to remember that your homepage provides a quick good impression of your overall website and business, whereas if somehow a website visitor finds something s/he doesn’t like on another page and has a negative reaction to it s/he could be lost forever.

    besides, a good web form for subscribing to an opt-in list is really not hard to do, since it requires a short and simple written statement about how they would like to see more and get updated about the site. Then there should be an area where they could put in their names and e-mail addresses, and this web form will automatically save and send you the data that was inputted; and your list will grow proportionately as more people sign in.

    Lucrative List Building: How Everyday People Are Building Huge, Highly Profitable Opt-In Email Lists from Scratch to Make Millions Online

    As mentioned earlier, the homepage (landing page) of a website is the most important page on that site because it is often the first page an individual sees when s/he visits the site, so it’s critical that you make your homepage as impressive as you can. You need to have well-written articles, attractive graphics and a well-defined description of your website; and, depending on what your site is all about, you need to capture the visitor’s fancy.

    In other words, make your site useful, very easy to use and easy to navigate; and to do this you have to keep in mind, while creating the site, that most your visitors are probably not tech savvy and therefore may not understand the reasons for the presence or absence of certain website features. Investing in good programming for your site in order to make your graphics beautiful and page loading fast will be helpful, but try not to overdo it, because too much can sometimes be as bad as not enough.

    Don’t waste your time making the homepage overly large and bulky megabyte-wise since this can lead to the page opening too slow and your visitors will not have the patience to sit there waiting for it to open. This is especially important when approached from the viewpoint that not all people have dedicated T1 connections; so the faster your site gets loaded, the better it is for your visitors which works to your advantage in the long run. Keep your website design, content and navigation simple but not overly so, and be mindful of serving up too much sophisticated knowledge.

    Lucrative List Building: How Everyday People Are Building Huge, Highly Profitable Opt-In Email Lists from Scratch to Make Millions Online

    Quality products and great service

    Providing good products and unmatched service to your visitors and supporters is great way to impress them and win their loyalty, since a return customer is more likely to bring in more business; and as is often repeated by seasoned business pros, new customers referred by a satisfied customer is the best kind of new customers any business can expect. Word of mouth and recommendations alone can rake in more business than an expensive ad.

    As your clientele roster grows so will your list; and with more members on the list, the more people will get to know about what you have to offer, both new and favorite products. Also important is the need to keep a clean and private list, which will go a long way in helping you to maintain the level of trust your customers have in you.

    The importance of doing everything you can to keep your subscribers’ confidence cannot be overstated; so understand that if you send e-mails to your list that can be construed as spam, they will click the “unsubscribe link” and prevent you from ever contacting them again; so remember that a good reputation will drive more traffic and subscribers, which in turn will strengthen your customer base and their loyalty, whereas a flawed reputation will quickly drive you out of business.

  • Making Residual Affiliate Programs Work for You

    Affiliate payment structures

    The term residual income, when used in the context of long-term income, can be replaced by the term, leveraged earnings which might be the most coveted source of income in the sales profession. The most significant difference between the two methods of earnings might be that residual income is earned repeatedly for a single sale by the individual salesperson, whereas leveraged income is earned repeatedly based on the sales of others (recruits/sub-agents).

    It is important to understand however, that leveraged income can be earned without residual payments when group leaders, managers, recruiters and other such agents have utilized their leadership skills to hire, train and motivate other people to go out and make sales that are considered “one and done” with no prospects for repeated payments on the sold item; unlike sales of magazine subscriptions, insurance policies or membership dues, which are paid for on an ongoing basis.

    But staying on the subject of affiliate marketing and the various programs and payment structures utilized by online merchants, if you are a webmaster in need of additional income; or you are planning to but you do not have a product or service to sell, affiliate marketing may be the best solution for your particular situation, since you really wouldn’t need to worry about creating a product because the merchants will provide them.

    Affiliate-merchant relationships

    All you would need to have is a website with interesting content that is related to any product or service you decide to market. By joining a particular affiliate program, or by becoming an independent affiliate representing various merchants, you can start earning money right away thereby meeting the financial demands of your unique situation; but in order to ensure that your earnings from sales can be relied upon to come repeatedly, you will have to align yourself with those merchants that offer residual income, a task that may be easier said than done.

    To be a good or and make the kind of money you expect to make it is important to understand the nature of affiliate marketing as it relates to the kind of business relationship that established between merchant and affiliate. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate agrees to direct traffic to a merchant’s website or product page, and if that traffic is converted into the visitor taking any kind of action like making a purchase subscribing to a service, the directing (referring) affiliate will be compensated.

    Compensation may take the form of either a percentage of any sales made in the form of a commission or a fixed fee predetermined upon the application of the affiliate with the merchant’s affiliate program. Based on this kind of arrangement between affiliate and merchant, both having mutual interests in its success and deriving mutual benefits from it, affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular Web marketing methods today.

    Set fee versus residual income

    In fact, almost every merchant or retailer site today offers an affiliate program that any one can join; and most retailers would entice people to become affiliates or members of their program by promising great , lifetime commissions, click through incomes and various other benefits; but would it be reasonable to think that all these affiliate programs offer the same benefits? Read on to learn how reasonable such a thought might be.

    Most affiliate programs would pay affiliates a one-time commission for every sale or lead referred to the merchant’s website by those affiliates; and such one-time commissions are usually large – ranging from 15% to a high of about 60%. Other affiliate programs would pay a fixed fee for every click through or visitor referred to the merchant’s site by any affiliate; and programs like this often pay a smaller amount for every click through – usually not amounting to any more than half a dollar, even in the case when no purchase is made but the visitor becomes a lead.

    Residual affiliate programs usually pay only a small percentage of a sale as commission for every sale referred by the affiliate to the merchant’s site. This commission is often in the range of 10% to 20% of sales made; and because of this many people ignore residual affiliate programs and opt rather, for the higher paying one-time commission offered by other affiliate programs. So depending on their financial objectives and individual preferences, marketers make their choices.

    Contrasting income modes

    However, for a marketer to ignore residual affiliate programs based solely on the fact that fees or commissions are smaller would be to forego a reliable and – over the long term – substantial income stream; because despite the fact that residual affiliate programs pay at a lower rate, merchants offering such programs would generally pay regular and ongoing commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale. That means you, as an affiliate of a affiliate program can get paid on a regular and ongoing basis.

    Just to elaborate a little further, suppose there are two online merchants both offering web hosting services on their sites. The first merchant offers a one-time commission type of affiliate program that pays $80 for every single affiliate initiated sale. The second merchant also offers an affiliate program, but it is a residual affiliate program that pays only $10 monthly for every single affiliate initiated sale for every customer that opens a hosting account.

    Naturally an affiliate may get attracted to the larger commission of $80 being offered by the first merchant, instead of the smaller amount of $10; but by thinking things over before actually getting involved with one or the other, the affiliate may be able to better understand that the second merchant is offering more of an opportunity to earn a larger amount of money since the $10 will be made on a continuous basis for as long as the customer has the account.

    A primary business tool on hold

    Making the choice

    So for the same effort of getting one customer to subscribe to the merchant’s service, you get paid monthly in residual affiliate programs while you only get paid once in a one-time commission type of affiliate programs. That having been said, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting? Definitely yes, because you from these types of affiliate programs in the long run; and would residual affiliate programs work best for you? It depends, but with the benefits that residual affiliate programs can provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such programs.
