Articles Must be SEO Optimized to Make Money




One of the most important skills an article marketer – or affiliate marketer who relies on articles to drive traffic to a website or product page – must learn, is how to optimize the articles s/he writes. S/he must learn to use search engine optimization techniques, a significant part of which is keyword optimization, when writing those articles.

SEO is important enough that even if the marketer is not an article writer, and intends on hiring a ghost writer to write articles, s/he should choose one who already knows about SEO or, should such a writer be unavailable, too costly or too busy, the marketer can hire a general topics writer and provide that writer with a list of keywords while letting him/her know where such keywords should be placed and how many times they should be repeated throughout the article.

Optimizing your articles for search engines will help them rank higher when Internet users searche for a keyword relating to your subject, which means that you will receive more visitors because more people will actually see your website link, click that link and as a result, end up at your website.

It is a fact that most visitors don’t look past the first search engine result page and by the third search engine results page there is practically no audience left for you to promote to. What this means for those beyond the third page is little to no traffic. This is why it is very important for you, if you rely on articles to run your business, to make sure your articles are prepared in a way that will end up, eventually, on that first or second search engine results page (SERP).
